Barra
An app for making Code 128 barcodes and label sheets, built with AI-assisted development.
Barra turns a list of codes into a label sheet ready to print, or into single images. It runs in the browser, it’s free with no account, and the codes never leave your device. It’s in English and Portuguese, and it’s made in Flutter, with the help of AI.
Why
I made Barra for a need my colleagues and I had at work: making barcodes and labels quickly and without hassle. Using it day to day, I realised it could be useful to many more people, so I made it available to everyone.
What's inside
- Label sheets — PDFs with vector bars placed to the millimetre, on Avery sheets or your own layouts.
- Images — PNG or SVG at an exact pixel size, or copied straight to the clipboard.
- GS1-128 — product data such as GTIN, batch and expiry date, with check digits verified.
- Import codes — from text, CSV or Excel files, picking the right column.
- Scan check — a warning before a code gets too thin for a scanner.
- Tap to edit — type a code straight onto its label in the preview.
